I am the worst at self-promotion. I took a look at my e-mail this mornin’ and found 2 “Wazzup?” urgents from this dj producer from an online radio show based in Oregon. He’s a great guy and, when I had some money 3 years ago, I placed some ads on his host site hopin’ to capture a niche market for my “recovery” oriented cd.
Well, a couple of weeks ago, this guy called me out of the blue and said, “I don’t think we treated you fairly the first time around so, now that we’re up and running again, I’d like to interview you for my show, play a couple of cuts off of your new album and tell the listening audience how they can purchase your stuff.”
“Great,” I said. “What do I need to do?”
“Just send your cd to the address I sent via e-mail and we’ll be good to go 10 days from now.”
“Okay,” I said.
That conversation took place 2 weeks ago this mornin’ and I still wouldn’t’ve thought of sendin’ the cd if my dj friend hadn’t’ve sent the e-mail askin’, “Where’s your cd?”
My plan is to send it to him soon as I’m done with this post but that was my exact same plan 2 weeks ago.
