Like That Ever Was A Possibility

I am off my blog feed. i have been doing other writing but nothing on this site. I’ve enjoyed reading other folks’ blogs and clicking “like”, maybe making a comment. But I’ve not been doing any posting.

Around here, it’s the season for music and, most summers, I have gigs every day. But not this summer.

I think it’s coz my piano doesn’t duel and likes to set up where folks are used to seeing guitars.

The other night, I had a drunk yell at me,”That doesn’t sound like Stevie Ray Vaughn.”

“He played the guitar,” I said. “I play keyboard.”

“But I asked for ‘Pride and Joy.'”

“This is what it sounds like on the keyboard.”

He spit his disgust and shouted, “No tip.”

About joefingas

I am a songwriter, poet, blues singer, and a boogie woogie piano player. I have a grandson but I have no children of my own. All my women have wised up and left me. I was a bum, a wino, a drug/alcohol counselor, a prevention/intervention specialist and a pretender. I have no more time to pretend.

  1. The Mom says:

Just keep playing Joe. Eventually they’ll hear the music.
