Well I found what was wrong w/ my car. One of the things wrong w/ it. The pre-catalytic/catalytic converter. Fell right off the car when the mechanic was trying to put it on his trailer. He said, “Well, that answers that question.”

The question I was askin’ was, “Who’s gonna pay for this?” I didn’t ask it out loud because I wanted the mechanic to start work on my Chevy. I called around and asked for prices. A universal system cost $125 and a factory specific Chevy HHR converter cost $350. The problem w/ the universal is that it would take man hours to cut and weld into place and still there would be no guarantee the piece would fit. And the only problem w/ the fresh from the factory certified “original” converter was the price. So I repeated my question after the mechanic left w/ my car, “Who’s gonna pay for this?”

Turns out I have a friend who’s gonna pay for “it”. He searched the internet and found a cheap connector part made only for my vehicle’s catalytic system.

This man has helped me many times before. Most of the time w/out me askin’.

I tell him, “I can pay you back quick for this one.”

He says, “No problem. Whenever you can.”
